SAND: Raiders of Sophie Redeploys Update #2 After Rollback
A patch pulled within a day over server failures returns with a broader set of fixes, including anti-cheat, physics, and movement corrections.
tinyBuild's SAND: Raiders of Sophie has seen a turbulent first week. The studio notes that over 300,000 players joined since launch, and community feedback has been shaping a rapid patch cadence — though not without friction.
Update #2 was initially deployed, then rolled back after causing widespread server connectivity failures that left players stuck on a "Connecting" screen. The re-released version now includes that original fix alongside additional changes.
What changed
- Servers: Fixed the issue that caused servers to become unavailable and stranded players on the connecting screen
- Anti-cheat: Improved BattlEye behavior to reduce false-positive bans
- Performance: Occlusion changes with a minor positive effect on frame rates
- Tramplers: Reduced collision shakes and glitches; possibly fixes characters being launched into the air; possibly fixes invisible trampler parts that remained interactable
- Economy: Corrected energy rod selling price on contract platforms from 450 to 50
- Combat: Fixed extra autocannon shots triggered by right mouse button
- Visuals: Fixed oversaturated boxes and props in the lobby; fixed flickering names on the landing cutscreen
- Character controller: Fixed getting stuck on terrain, multiple parkour issues, and general movement bugs; fixed trampler stability not affecting speed; fixed bodies remaining airborne after death
The rollback-and-redeploy cycle signals an active development posture, but players who encountered the false-positive BattlEye bans in particular will want to verify their standing after this update lands.
