SAND: Raiders of Sophie Update #2 Patches Movement, Upiors, and Dupe Exploits

Server maintenance for SAND: Raiders of Sophie preceded the rollout of Update #2, with tinyBuild-Jay advising players to exit the game and manually download the patch once maintenance concluded.

What changed

Character & Movement

• Further improvements to the character controller, including fixes for getting stuck on difficult terrain
• Several parkour and general movement issues resolved
• Toggle and Combine Sprint settings now work as intended

Combat & Enemies

• Hit registration improved
• Grenade pin no longer pulls automatically under Outlaw controls
• Upiors received a substantial AI overhaul: they now collide with players, move less erratically, behave more responsively, and can operate cannons (excluding shotguns) — though they will abandon a cannon when a player approaches

Visuals & Environment

• Flickering names on the landing cutscene fixed
• Improved occlusion for trampler compartments (some edge cases noted as still pending)
• A gas giant has been added next to the Sophie
• Pop-up design improvements

Bugs & Exploits

• Two item duplication exploits fixed: one via the captain's compartment fridge, one during trampler extraction
• Doors no longer display as broken after being repaired with a Repair Kit
• Compartment doors no longer restore improperly after repair
• Characters no longer respawn outside crew compartments
• Fixed an exploit allowing entry into compartments by sliding on entrance group ladders
• Fixed the issue where an expedition would incorrectly end for a player while teammates remained alive — a bug that also disrupted post-expedition loot distribution

Taken together, the patch tightens the game's core loop at a point where movement reliability and fair loot recovery matter most to a new playerbase finding its footing.
