ShipShaper: Falconeer Chronicles

Developer Muppetpuppet_mp has pushed a smaller update to ShipShaper: Falconeer Chronicles that widens the part catalogue and addresses a range of editor and world-simulation issues.

What changed

New parts

  • Tirpitz-style funnel and a large smokestack
  • Side exhaust vent, which can be stretched into a Kaga-style side exhaust
  • Crossbrace rail in two styles
  • Gun deck hull section with gunports

World view

  • Storms now add up to 20% more wind, causing sails to pull harder and ships to lean more
  • Deck flooding now follows the hull's own deck geometry, sampled at six points rather than a prior estimate
  • Superstructures hanging over the bow or stern no longer affect it
  • Spacebar toggles UI visibility (introduced earlier but previously unlogged)

Editor improvements

  • Lettering and shields on mirrored hull sides, superstructures, and emplacements now render correctly
  • The item detail belt tracks hull-part changes made via the scroll wheel
  • Rim outlines highlight on hover
  • Scale handles on certain parts have been repositioned to avoid overlapping other handles

Fixes

  • Colour wheel displayed the wrong theme after undo or redo
  • Clicking a category immediately after opening the Item Library could open the wrong one
  • The Item Library and item detail belt remained visible during help, Workshop, and Bulwark export screens
  • The ship name showed through the help screen
  • Emplacements over stacked superstructures could float at the wrong height
  • Windows could be shrunk below their minimum length
  • Wakes were missing on part of the ocean surface
  • Certain gun emplacements floated incorrectly on indent and lower hull parts

For players building elaborate vessels, the combination of new structural parts and corrected editor behaviour should make sessions noticeably cleaner.
