Hi everyone, it's been a few weeks, more than that even!, shame on me... An unusually long time since updates. And unless you've been dipping into the public beta here on steam (via game properties/betas). But it's time to update some stuff on the main branch, that's been tested well enough and also solves some major issues with performance, and a ton of QoL and content features you all deserve to play with. Now there are some features in this update that will make you go hmmmmmm.. Tomas are you sure this is gonna fit that store description.. Well.. I'm not saying much for now.. But big things are coming to Shipshaper, bigger even than on the Beta. And they require a proper big celebration when the time is right. But lets not diss this update cuz it's massive!!!!! Lets be honest, them gunports are the business, I just wish they would do something more... dunno what...tho.. I'm stuck..... New featuresInfinite lights system. The old light system got replaced with some fancy height sliced lightmap splatting.. Basically infinite lights,, beware some builds may a full on Vegas after this update. Heck even spotlights cast lights. And this has also been applied to the environment, reportedly performance has massively improved for some people.. (old system was junk..pretty junk..but junk) . Rotating guns. In world view your guns follow the mouse, we all knew this needed to be done.. And I keep forgetting what else guns should do.. no matter. Nobody reads these lists anyway, and I'll forget again tomorrow.. Broadsides, these now have hatches that open and the gun rolls out, deck…

ShipShaper: Falconeer Chronicles Adds New Parts and Trims a List of Bugs
Developer Muppetpuppet_mp has pushed a smaller update to ShipShaper: Falconeer Chronicles that widens the part catalogue and addresses a range of editor and world-simulation issues.
What changed
New parts
Tirpitz-style funnel and a large smokestack
Side exhaust vent, which can be stretched into a Kaga-style side exhaust
Crossbrace rail in two styles
Gun deck hull section with gunports
World view
Storms now add up to 20% more wind, causing sails to pull harder and ships to lean more
Deck flooding now follows the hull's own deck geometry, sampled at six points rather than a prior estimate
Superstructures hanging over the bow or stern no longer affect it
Spacebar toggles UI visibility (introduced earlier but previously unlogged)
Editor improvements
Lettering and shields on mirrored hull sides, superstructures, and emplacements now render correctly
The item detail belt tracks hull-part changes made via the scroll wheel
Rim outlines highlight on hover
Scale handles on certain parts have been repositioned to avoid overlapping other handles
Fixes
Colour wheel displayed the wrong theme after undo or redo
Clicking a category immediately after opening the Item Library could open the wrong one
The Item Library and item detail belt remained visible during help, Workshop, and Bulwark export screens
The ship name showed through the help screen
Emplacements over stacked superstructures could float at the wrong height
Windows could be shrunk below their minimum length
Wakes were missing on part of the ocean surface
Certain gun emplacements floated incorrectly on indent and lower hull parts
For players building elaborate vessels, the combination of new structural parts and corrected editor behaviour should make sessions noticeably cleaner.

ShipShaper: Falconeer Chronicles Adds Full Physics Toggle in Latest Beta Patch
A beta patch for ShipShaper: Falconeer Chronicles has been rolled out to all players following a day of internal testing, bringing a headline physics feature alongside a round of quality-of-life fixes.
What changed
Full physics toggle added in world mode: ships can now list, keel over, and sink. Stability is calculated from hull proportions, superstructures, gun weight, riggers, and related factors.
Middle hull themes no longer stay locked to the humb after selecting a whaleback bow — they revert to whatever theme was active beforehand.
Smoke particle effects have been remade as a lighter, properly lit variant that responds to the boat and sky lighting.
Medium and small emplacements are now physically smaller, with a wider scale range that allows them to shrink further.
Gafs have been lengthened at player request.
Rigger scaling has received an extra option for greater versatility.
Darktide foil spamming has been prevented.
Delete mode now deselects the hull first when clicking it, so subsequent deletion targets receive proper rollover behaviour.
Review reminders added, triggered on the third and fifth save, or the first time a ship is submitted — shown only once, and only if the player presses the prompt.
First-boot help menu now appears when no autosaves are detected.
The physics toggle is the patch's center of gravity: players who stack guns at the stern now have a mechanical reason to reconsider, and ship stability becomes a genuine design constraint rather than a cosmetic concern.
Two years of development
