Spider-Man 2 PC Update Adds ML FSR Frame Generation and DualSense Edge Fixes
Version 2.629.0.0 from Nixxes brings targeted controller and upscaling improvements to the PC port.
Team Nixxes has released a small update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC, addressing two specific areas: DualSense Edge controller support and AMD's upscaling stack.
What changed
- DualSense Edge: Improved support for Sony's premium controller variant.
- AMD FSR updated to 3.1.4, adding compatibility with Machine Learning-based FSR Frame Generation — branded by AMD as "Redstone."
- ML-based FSR Frame Generation requires an AMD Radeon RX 9000 series GPU and driver version 25.12.1 or later.
The FSR addition is hardware-gated. Players without an RX 9000 series card receive the FSR 3.1.4 update but cannot access the ML Frame Generation path. The DualSense Edge improvement, by contrast, applies broadly to anyone using that controller.
Nixxes notes that players who encounter issues after updating should contact Nixxes Support and supply the requested files to assist with diagnostics.
For RX 9000 owners who have kept their drivers current, this patch opens a new frame generation option that was previously unavailable in the title.
