Spire of Legends Update 1.5 Adds Fifth Character, Timekeeper, and Rebalances Cards

Purple Fire Games has released Major Update 1.5 for Spire of Legends, headlined by the Timekeeper — the game's fifth playable character. The Timekeeper is a strategic spellcaster whose mechanics center on temporal manipulation: gaining extra Energy, reducing ability cooldowns, and constructing deliberate, high-impact turns.

What's new with the Timekeeper

The character arrives as a complete, self-contained addition:

• Unique Passive ability, two Active Skills, and one Ultimate ability
• A unique starter deck and starting relic
• 23 new collectible and upgradeable cards
• 8 new relics exclusive to the Timekeeper
• Clarified description on the Timekeeper's Pocketwatch relic, which now explicitly notes that a returned card comes back even if it carries the Exhaust keyword

Balance changes

The update also adjusts several existing cards and the Time Skip status effect, with an emphasis on build variety:

• Time Skip (Status): now grants +1 Energy Regen and +1 Draw Size, down from +2 Energy Regen and +3 Draw Size
• Phantom Pain, Phantom Pain+, Aegis Reverberation, Aegis Reverberation+: cost reduced from 2 Energy to 1
• Temporal Echo: cost reduced from 2 Energy to 1; its upgraded form now costs 0
• Tactical Sacrifice, Tactical Sacrifice+: cost reduced from 3 Energy to 2
• Time Skip card: energy cost reduced from 2 to 1; upgraded form from 1 to 0

The Time Skip status nerf tempers what was apparently a strong effect, while the across-the-board energy-cost reductions lower the floor on several previously expensive cards — a combination that should reward players willing to rethink their decks.
