Valheim 1.0 Dated for September 9, Deep North Included at Launch
Iron Gate has set a firm release date for Valheim's full launch, ending years of Early Access with crossplay across platforms.
After more than five years in Early Access, Valheim has a finish line. Iron Gate announced at the PC Gaming Show earlier in June that Valheim 1.0 launches on September 9 of this year, bundling the long-anticipated Deep North biome into the release. Full crossplay between platforms will be supported at launch.
What was announced
- Valheim 1.0 release date: September 9, with the Deep North biome included
- Full crossplay between platforms confirmed for launch
- Iron Gate will have a booth at Gamescom in Cologne in August, where attendees can meet developers and play the game
- A Makehip merchandise campaign is currently running, offering three limited-time plushies — the Valkyrie, the Serpent, and the Jumbo Troll — which will not be available after the campaign ends
- Community build submissions can now be made directly through Iron Gate's Discord build-of-the-month forum channel, in addition to social media using
#ValheimBotM
This month's featured community build is the Snowspire Citadel, created by xiaoming.
For players who have followed Valheim through Early Access, September 9 is the date that closes that chapter — arriving with the final major biome in tow.
