War Thunder 2.57.1.81 Patches Missile Fuze and ESM Guidance Bugs
A focused bug-fix update addresses misfiring ARH/SARH missiles, a Prinz Eugen turret model error, and several smaller interface and controls issues.
Update 2.57.1.81 for War Thunder, published on 11 August 2026, is a bug-fix release with no new content announced. The patch addresses issues across aircraft, naval vessels, the interface, graphics, and controls.
What changed
Aircraft
- Radio proximity fuzes on ARH and SARH missiles behaved incorrectly when switching to INS+DL mode, sometimes causing missiles to pass through targets without detonating or to detonate only after already flying past them. Fixed.
- On aircraft with ESM capabilities, SARH missile guidance was incorrectly limited to the angular sector covered by the ESM sensors. Fixed.
- Weapons released simultaneously from both wings were incorrectly released in pairs even when mounted on only one wing. Fixed.
Naval
- Prinz Eugen: turret rings on the first, second, and third turrets rotated incorrectly when the main battery traversed, causing their damage model geometry to shift away from the ship. Fixed.
Interface
- The side indicator for armament on the aircraft HUD could display the wrong letter — showing L instead of R or vice-versa. Fixed.
Graphics
- On Mac at minimum graphics settings, tree trunks swayed alongside foliage. Fixed.
Controls
- Switching to the Scout UAV a second time during a test drive was impossible. Fixed.
The missile fuze corrections are the most consequential changes here, restoring reliable kill-credit behaviour in air combat for players using radar-guided weapons with INS+DL guidance.
