War Thunder Adds Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya as Guardian of the Baltic Sea Event Ship
The Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya is the final and most advanced of the Sevastopol-class battleships, and it enters War Thunder as an event vehicle for the USSR at Rank V. It becomes obtainable through the Guardian of the Baltic Sea event — which began on August 13 — across seven stages.
What changed from its sistership
The ship shares a foundation with the Sevastopol already in-game — the same long, high armor belt and 305 mm main battery — but its 1946 modernization configuration introduces meaningful differences:
- Increased AA gun count, with an arrangement said to more closely resemble that of the Marat
- 76 mm anti-aircraft mounts added to main battery turrets one and four
- Three twin 76 mm gun mounts positioned at the bow and stern, replacing a single pair of aft anti-torpedo guns
- 37 mm automatic guns installed on turrets two and three and on the superstructures
- Radar added — absent on Sevastopol
The ship's mobility is described as average, and its combat role is framed around medium and long-range engagements where its broadside salvo and improved air defenses can be applied simultaneously.
