War Thunder's update 2.59.0.43, published 1 October 2026, covers a wide surface area — from flight model corrections to interface fixes for controller users.

What changed

Aircraft

  • A bug causing a significant decrease in the probability of incoming missiles being hit by fragments from other munitions has been fixed.
  • F-102A (all variants): static thrust and thrust at altitudes of 9–15 km have been increased.
  • MiG-23M: a prerequisite bug that incorrectly required the UB-32 modification to research the S-24 — instead of the B-8M1 — has been corrected.
  • Su-33: maximum payload capacity raised from 6,500 kg to 8,040 kg total; per-wing capacity from 2,500 kg to 3,000 kg.
  • F-84B-26: rear wheels no longer float above the ground in the hangar.

Sound

  • Arjun: engine audio corrected from Leopard 2 to Leopard 1, reflecting its actual MTU MB 838 engine.

Locations and Missions

  • Golan Heights: a cruiser was incorrectly spawning in place of a catapult carrier for one team; starting positions of aircraft carriers have also been adjusted.
  • Darwin Hill: top-tier aircraft were spawning too high and too close to the tank battle area; the tactical air map and location names have been corrected.

Graphics

  • VR image jitter when using DirectX 11 has been fixed.

Interface

  • Controller users can now switch vehicle types in the crew training window using cursor and selection button as expected.

Ground vehicle rosters

  • Added to Arcade and Realistic Battles: M10 Booker, M1296, sWaTrgInf, T-72B3A, Ajax, Arjun Mk 1, BTR-3E1 (Japan), Harimau, Leopard 1A5BE (France), Eitan (P), Hunter AFV, Merkava Mk.1.
  • Added to Realistic Battles only: Tor-M1, M41D, FK-2000, NOMADS, Osa-AKM (Israel), Tor-M1 (Israel).
  • SIDAM 25 removed from Realistic Battles.

The combination of the missile fragment fix and Su-33 payload increase are likely the most consequential changes for competitive air play.
