Warzone Season 1 Adds Operator Skin Toggle for Modern Warfare 4 Purists

Call of Duty: Warzone has long served as a meeting point for Operators, weapons, and cosmetics drawn from multiple titles in the franchise. With the launch of the Modern Warfare 4 chapter, the developers are acknowledging that not every player wants that visual pluralism.

What changed

Starting with Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4, Warzone gains an Operator Skin Toggle — a client-side filter built specifically for this chapter.

• When ON: Any Operator or Operator Skin from another Call of Duty title (the source cites Black Ops 6 as an example) equipped by another player — enemy, party member, or squadmate — is replaced in your view by a Modern Warfare 4 Operator. This applies in the lobby and during a match.
• Your own Operator is unaffected. Whatever skin you have equipped continues to display as-is, regardless of its origin title.

• No content is removed. Operators and weapons from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6, and Black Ops 7 remain available, along with earned and purchased Skins, Blueprints, and Camos. Existing Carry Forward plans for previous titles are also described as unaffected.
