Frozen Ship Update 0.2.113 Overhauls Ship Controls, Combat, and Hospital Systems
Frozen Ship's update 0.2.113, published 27 August 2026, arrives as one of the more wide-ranging patches the early-access survival game has seen, addressing long-standing friction points from ship navigation to hospital management.
What changed
Ship & Controls
- A new control terminal, positioned opposite the captain's chair, adds direct control over ship movement.
- Ship pathfinding has been reworked; the vessel should no longer become stuck on rocks between locations.
- The electronic compass can now be enabled at any point via game settings.
- Temperature units and the crouch key are both now rebindable.
Interface & Convenience
- Quick-transfer buttons speed up moving items to storage.
- Game time pauses during dialogues and trading.
- The item interaction interface has been updated when viewing descriptions.
Hospital
- The medkit interface for treating sick patients has been reworked.
- Medkits can now be used at any time of day, capped at once per patient per day.
Crafting, Resources & Balance
- Wood and cloth gathering balance has been adjusted.
- Crafting can no longer be canceled at the starting location.
- Ore quantities at locations have been increased.
- Trader money pools now scale with the current in-game day and player progress.
Animals & Hunting
- Hit detection for animals has been reworked.
- Predator counts at locations have been increased.
Bug Fixes
- The "I'm Stuck" button works correctly after the bunker quest.
- Metal ingots now route to storage properly and can be used in construction.
- Worker counts at the Research Center display correctly.
- Crafting time displays have been corrected.
Taken together, the patch tightens the feedback loops that govern moment-to-moment play — smoother navigation, fairer economies, and fewer inventory dead-ends — making survival runs meaningfully less punishing.
