MECCHA CHAMELEON 4.1.1 Patches Spectator Controls, Voice Chat, and Session Limits
The September 16 update to MECCHA CHAMELEON (version 4.1.1) is a focused maintenance release, targeting multiplayer reliability and input precision across several systems.
What changed
Voice chat
- Added an option to disable voice chat entirely.
- Added a microphone icon at the top of the screen when audio input is detected.
- Changed the default voice chat setting to mute incoming audio.
Multiplayer and session management
- Fixed an issue where the maximum player limit was ignored when a large number of users attempted to join simultaneously.
- Temporarily reduced the maximum number of players for Switch 2 hosted sessions from 12 to 10.
- Fixed an issue where the "Right Shoulder" button failed to switch the player being spectated.
- Fixed an issue where the UI would freeze after pressing the refresh button in the user management tab.
- Fixed an issue where certain maps were loaded by default.
Cursor and Paint Mode
- Adjusted brush size controls so the cursor returns to its original position after adjustment via the control stick.
- Fixed an issue where the cursor would move to an unintended location when starting Paint Mode via mouse mode.
- Fixed an issue where the cursor would get "dragged" or pulled after performing specific actions.
The cumulative effect is a more predictable online session — one where join floods no longer bypass player caps, voice defaults lean toward silence rather than noise, and paint tools behave as intended.
