Is Surrounded still being updated?

No. Surrounded appears to be dormant.

The developers last posted about Surrounded 47 days ago. Nothing we would classify as a substantial update has landed in six months, though the developers have posted 1 time. Across their history this team posts roughly every 3 days, which is what makes the current gap measurable rather than a guess.

Is Surrounded dead?

By the only measure we can observe — developer activity — Surrounded shows the pattern of a game that has stopped receiving work. The developers last posted 47 days ago. This describes communication and shipped updates, not whether anyone is still playing.

Has Surrounded been abandoned?

We cannot know a studio's intentions, only its behaviour. Surrounded has gone 47 days without a developer post, which is the pattern abandoned games show. It is not a statement about the studio's plans.

When was the last update to Surrounded?

The most recent developer announcement we hold is dated August 18, 2026.

Is Surrounded worth playing?

43.9% of 570 Steam reviews are positive, and its Elixir Rating is 34.8 — a score combining that reception with how actively the game is still being developed. Whether it suits you is your call; those are the measurements.

How we know this. Every figure here comes from announcements the developers posted themselves on Steam; press coverage is excluded. “Substantial” means a patch, release, or major update rather than a sale or event notice. Nothing on this page is an opinion about whether the game is good. See the full record or check the development status of every game we track.
