Bodycam V0.8 #1 Raises Kill Limits, Pulls Zombie Mode, Previews Party System
A broad patch touches controls, match pacing, and audio while signaling two larger changes still in progress.
Reissad Studio's first V0.8 patch for Bodycam arrives with a wide spread of fixes and adjustments across nearly every system in the game.
What changed
Settings & Controls
- Individual player mute button added.
- DLSS Multi Frame Generation and Film Grain settings added.
- Keybinds can now be cleared; key conflict handling improved and several related bugs fixed.
- Tablet inputs no longer bleed into gameplay controls.
Match Flow
- Team Deathmatch score limit raised from 50 to 75 kills; Deathmatch from 30 to 40.
- Map list reorganized — Trenches now appears first.
- Gun Game pistol pool overcrowding fixed.
- A Wingman defuse softlock and a bolt-action reload failure after repeated full reloads both resolved.
- A camera-correction animation that could heavily obstruct the view during bodycam readjustment has been removed.
Loadout, Audio & Maps
- Scope capture performance, optimization, and visual stability improved.
- Lumen scalability in scope views improved.
- Drone audio improved; missing Lobby jukebox music restored.
- Excessive reflective artifacts on reinforced Lobby glass fixed.
Stability
- Steam login failures now produce a clear error message instead of a silent black screen.
Zombie Mode has been temporarily disabled. The studio cites regressions introduced during broader rework and a sense that the mode had grown stagnant; it intends to return the mode as a future event, with Halloween mentioned as context.
A new Party System is described as already in development, promising friend invites, cross-mode matchmaking queues, and the ability to join ongoing matches — though no release window is given in the patch notes.
The raised kill limits and control refinements make day-to-day play more polished, but the Party System will determine whether coordinated play finally becomes straightforward.
