Echoes of the Deep v2.1.2 Adds New Progression Trees and Ore Vein Overhaul
A substantial mid-cycle patch restructures how Ore Vein nodes are named and priced, and introduces multiple new progression trees tied to the game's Abyssal Descend milestone.
Patch v2.1.2 for Echoes of the Deep: Incremental Endless Miner, published by Spellmystery, lands with a mix of quality-of-life polish and meaningful structural additions to the game's progression systems.
What changed
Quality of life
- The Forge buff counter in the top-right corner has been recoloured for better readability.
- The Vein Extraction buff now displays in the Hand of Olympus panel when active.
- All major panels — Drill, Resonance Field, five Anomaly trees, Rock tree, and the new trees listed below — now show a running total of unlocked bonuses at each panel's bottom-right corner.
Ore Vein redesign
- Ore Vein nodes have been given names and branch identities.
- Hero and Legendary nodes retain the same average power but deliver it in larger spikes on dig and claim actions.
- Nodes within the same tier now carry different Lefkadium costs.
New progression trees
- A Lefkadium Tree (located under the Rock Tree button) buffs Lefkadium and Rock income both before and after Abyssal Descend. It survives Deep Descend but not Abyssal Descend.
- A Nidrium Tree sits beneath the Lefkadium Tree and unlocks after the first Abyssal Descend.
- Post-Abyssal Descend players who reach spawn level 10 gain access to the Abyssal Lefkadium Tree and Abyssal Nidrium Tree, both offering higher income bonuses than their pre-AD counterparts. Both survive Deep Descend but not Abyssal Descend.
For players approaching or past their first Abyssal Descend, the patch substantially widens the late-game upgrade surface while giving all players a clearer at-a-glance view of what each tree actually provides.
