Goblin Camp 1.0 Exits Early Access With Saunas and Sweeping Performance Fixes
The goblin colony sim leaves Early Access with a new sauna system, a native Linux build, and broad performance and stability improvements.
Goblin Camp has reached version 1.0, closing its Early Access period. The update, authored by Gencee and published on 12 July 2026, arrives with one headline mechanic, a raft of performance work, and a new platform.
What changed
Sauna system Goblins can now construct saunas, kept heated with firewood. The building serves two functions: wounded goblins enter to heal, while healthy ones use spare capacity to relax. After fully relaxing, a goblin seeks out the nearest body of water for a swim — a successful swim grants a buff that improves their stats.
Performance improvements
- Substantial pathfinding performance improvement; larger camps benefit most
- Terrain rendering performance improved
- Flora search performance improved
- Item-finding performance improved
Bug fixes
- Fixed crash when casting spells near map edges
- Fixed goblins occasionally reserving two beds
- Fixed swimming goblins not consistently steering toward shore
- Fixed departing goblins selecting the wrong fog edge
- Fixed several crashes caused by goblins dying at inopportune moments
- Fixed save corruption affecting large camps
Linux Goblin Camp is now available natively on Linux.
For players who have been running large camps and absorbing crashes, this release addresses both the stability gaps and the performance ceiling that have likely defined the late Early Access experience.
