MEGAKO☆PUNCH! Launches on Steam with Endless Mode, Sandbox, and New Cards
The card-battle game exits early access with a fresh difficulty tier, an experimental rule-modifier mode, and a new energy mechanic built around explosive turns.
MEGAKO☆PUNCH! is now available on Steam in its full v1.0.0 release, published on 10 August 2026 by developer ものこ. A launch discount of 15% runs until 25 August.
What changed
Endless Mode & Sandbox Mode The full version introduces Endless Mode, a high-difficulty alternative ruleset. Clearing its hardest tier — Lv. 3 — unlocks an ending and gates access to Sandbox Mode, an experimental layer that stacks additional modifiers on top:
- Additional Difficulty — enemy difficulty tunable from 0 to 100
- Forgetful Mode — begin with a random 30-card deck and forfeit card acquisition
- Cost Randomization — every card's cost shifts randomly by −4 to +4
New Mechanic: Overcharge A new ability, Overcharge, lets players accumulate bonus Energy carried into the next turn, enabling larger-than-normal plays in a single burst. The new card Meteor is among those designed around this mechanic.
Graphics & Interface Blackjack received new visual effects, Mega-ko's in-battle appearance was revised, and the post-battle map screen saw minor graphical polish. Fullscreen support and resolution settings have also been added.
New Relics Three new relics are included, some of which were previously available as early-access demo content.
A free demo remains available for those who want to sample the core systems before purchasing. For players already familiar with the early build, the additions to difficulty ceiling and the Overcharge economy give the full release meaningful new ground to cover.
