Momento's 'Realities' Update Adds Room Variants, 70 Puzzles, and Creative Mode Upgrades

Momento's first major post-launch update, version 1.1 titled Realities, is out now. Its central premise is variation: the earliest rooms in the game — those encountered most frequently across playthroughs — now exist in multiple forms, giving repeat loops a meaningfully different character.

What changed

Alternate early rooms

• The Cot Room (the first level) now has three distinct versions
• Childhood Bedrooms come in three variants: Dinosaur, Teddy, and Unicorn
• Teenage Bedrooms offer three variants: Mom's Place, Dad's Place, and Tyler & James's Place
• Completed variants become accessible through the Wall of Memories
• The changes aren't limited to layout — the developers note that other details shift too

Creative Mode additions

• New swappable backgrounds: cityscape, back garden, mountain range, and space
• Windows and other items can now be placed on either wall
• A test tube layering bug has been fixed
• Room size can be changed without restarting the room

Puzzles

• 70 additional puzzles have been added to the game

The update also includes bug fixes. Alongside the release, Momento is 20% off, and the game is featured as part of the Wholesome Games Celebration.

For players who found the opening rooms repetitive across multiple loops, the Realities update directly addresses that friction — while the puzzle expansion gives completionists a substantial new workload.
