Path of Idle 1.0.2 Walks Back Punishing Skill-Lock System
The update addresses one of the sharpest player complaints at launch — random skill locking — while also expanding class utility and fixing a string of description and functional errors.
The first post-launch patch for Path of Idle: Old Gods Rising leads with an apology. The developers acknowledge that random skill locking felt poor and have temporarily removed the Baptism skill-lock chance entirely, promising a better solution later. In the meantime, a related mechanic now locks or unlocks one skill at a time, and the weight of Preferred Skills has been increased to make them appear more reliably.
