SMITE 2 Adds Ix Chel, a Support Mage Built Around Rainbow Stacks

Ix Chel joins SMITE 2 as a Classic God, announced on August 11, 2026. Her kit is built around a passive stack system called Rainbow Weaver and a mix of poke, utility, and sustained teamfight presence.

What changed

• Passive — Rainbow Weaver: Hitting enemy gods or granting beneficial effects to allies builds stacks. At 6 stacks, the next basic attack becomes empowered: larger, faster, longer-ranged, penalty-free on movement, and deals bonus Magical Damage. It also triggers item effects, benefits from 33% Lifesteal, and can hit structures from beyond their attack radius — though the charge is consumed even on a miss.
• Ability 1 — Gleaming Blast / Threads of Light: A two-part sequence. Gleaming Blast fires a projectile that stops on the first enemy god hit and deals Magic Damage (with a 40% bonus against minions and jungle camps), then transforms into Threads of Light — a cone that blinds enemies facing it for 1 second and deals bonus damage to targets at its tip.
• Ability 2 — Lunar Invocation: Places a delayed area explosion that knocks up enemies and simultaneously heals allies.
• Ability 3 — Rainbow Crash: An arcing projectile that roots enemies on landing and grants movement speed. It splits into 6 orbs that allies (one each) and Ix Chel herself can collect for additional movement speed; orbs bounce off walls up to twice.
• Ultimate — The Great End: A channeled rainbow beam. Ix Chel becomes CC Immune, deals damage to enemies, heals allies, and heals herself when doing either. Simultaneously hitting an enemy and an ally extends the channel, and repeated hits ramp up damage — though that bonus decays if the beam goes idle.

Ix Chel reads as a god who rewards sustained engagement over burst windows, making positioning and ally proximity central to her ceiling.
