Spider-Man Remastered Adds AMD FSR 3.1 and Updates XeSS to 1.3
Patch v3.618.0.0 brings frame generation and improved upscaling quality to the PC port, with meaningful changes for AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA GPU owners alike.
Nixxes has shipped a notable image-quality and performance patch for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, centered on two upscaling upgrades developed in collaboration with their respective hardware partners.
What changed
AMD FSR 3.1
- Frame generation is now available and works alongside any upscaling method supported by the player's GPU — not just FSR upscaling.
- Upscaling quality has been improved over the previous FSR implementation.
- A new Native AA mode applies high-quality anti-aliasing without any resolution upscaling. To access it, set Upscaling Method to Off and select AMD FSR 3 Native AA from the anti-aliasing options; it can be paired with or without frame generation.
- FSR 3.1 is compatible with AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA graphics cards.
Intel XeSS updated to version 1.3
- Image quality improvements to upscaling.
- Additional quality preset options.
- A new XeSS Native AA option, mirroring the approach introduced with FSR 3.1.
Other fixes
- The game can now be launched from the launcher using a controller.
- Unspecified stability improvements.
Players who encounter problems can revert to the prior build via Steam's Properties → Betas → Previous_Version dropdown.
The practical upshot: owners of mid-range and higher GPUs across all three major vendors gain more flexibility in trading resolution for framerate — or forgoing upscaling entirely in favor of cleaner anti-aliasing at native resolution.
