The Spell Brigade's 1.2.0.20127 Patch Adds Three Spells and 13 Augmentations
A mid-cycle drop ahead of a larger year-end update gives early-game players more options and veterans new ways to modify existing spells.
Developer BoltBlasterGL has pushed patch 1.2.0.20127 for The Spell Brigade, framing it as an intentional between-updates release while a bigger update remains in progress for the end of the year.
What changed
Three new spells arrive unlocked from the start, each with four augmentations of their own:
- Loaded Dice — Giant dice roll across the field and explode with force relative to the side they land on.
- Tiny Tremors — Multiple mini earthquakes scatter and crush enemies within reach.
- Wicked Buzzsaw — A large spinning blade that lunges toward targets.
Beyond the new spells, 13 augmentations have been added for existing spells. Selected highlights from the patch notes:
- Aura Beam (Aether Beam): Beams create a growing energy field that damages nearby enemies.
- Baby Sprout (Vengeful Sprout): Plant kills have a small chance to spawn a smaller Plant.
- Massive Missile (Magic Missile): Missiles grow significantly larger and stronger but cast slower and travel slower.
- Scepter Link (Scepter Mesh): Scepters can connect to the player, forming a damaging beam between them.
- Solar Zenith (Solar Pulse): Pulse gains size and damage while the player stands still, stacking over time.
- Super Star (Falling Stars): Occasionally casts a much larger, high-damage Star.
The studio notes that expanded augmentations have been a persistent community request. For players already deep into the roster of older spells, this patch offers meaningful new layers of build expression without waiting for the larger update still to come.
