VEIN 0.024 Hotfix 5 Closes Dozens of Bugs Across Physics, UI, and Saves

VEIN's fifth hotfix for the 0.024 build, published July 27, 2026, is one of the broader patch notes the game has seen — spanning physics, UI, audio, save integrity, and input.

What changed

Saves & persistence

• Container items and vehicle parts vanishing in older save files has been fixed
• Moving furniture no longer resets its scale
• Settings now apply and save correctly for players not using English

Physics & world

• Police car physics corrected
• Medical crate and some container physics fixed
• Box truck collision revised; side-door entry added
• AT4 placement and flag placement corrected
• Beds on RVs now spawn players at the correct position
• Players can no longer stand on thermostats or light switches

Weapons & attachments

• Fixed the ability to attach two attachments to the same slot on a gun
• Firearm attachment UI now refreshes correctly on dedicated servers

Audio & visuals

• Infinitely looping sink sounds from full sinks resolved
• Shot arrows no longer disappear within the UC radius
• Advanced antibiotics visual fixed
• Gun store glass and school bus insignia corrected
• Mayo jars and sour cream are now visually distinguished

Systems & misc

• GPS battery life increased sixfold
• Performance fixes included
• Water source labels now display correctly beyond the generic "Water"
• ResetVehicleParts cheat command added
• Rain resistance now applies while inside open-roof vehicles
• Quicksave and autosave disabled during the tutorial
• Progress made on controller support
