War Thunder 2.57.1.33 Adds Nuclear-Capable F-16 and MiG-29 Variants at BR 13.0+

What changed

The headline addition is a roster of nuclear weapons carriers for Ground Battles, restricted to sessions with a Battle Rating of 13.0 or higher. Each aircraft arrives equipped with the nuclear bomb plus four air-to-air missiles — two IR-guided and two ARH-guided.

New nuclear-capable aircraft:

• F-16A ADF (USA, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, France, Sweden)
• F-16A MLU (China)
• F-16D Barak II (Israel)
• F-2A (Japan)
• MiG-29SMT 9-19 (USSR)

Beyond the new aircraft, several systemic changes land in this update:

• ARM behavior: When the last anti-radiation missile is fired from an aircraft lacking integrated ESM sensors, the radar indicator now automatically reverts from ESM mode to standard radar mode.
• Guided munitions vs. ships: The guidance logic for all guided munitions has been revised so that crew compartments can be selected as the target when firing at ships, improving hit placement on vital areas.
• RIM-24 missile: The flight model has been updated to a fully physical control model.

Bug fixes of note:

• Fw 189 C open canopy now correctly slows and tears off at high speed.
• He 111 H-6 and H-16: 250 kg bombs no longer jam in the bomb bay on release.
• Me 163 B and B-0: fuel tanks outside the cockpit correctly reflect their non-self-sealing status, sourced against the original Me 163 B airplane manual.
• F5W torpedo parameters corrected to match the Italian W 170/450/5.46 specification.
• Yak-38M no longer spawns in Ground Arcade with two extra AAMs that previously blocked safe ejection.
• Keyboard arrow keys can now be bound to actions again.

For high-tier Ground Battle players, the nuclear aircraft roster just grew substantially — and the guidance fix may shift how air support is applied against naval targets in combined modes.
