War Thunder's August Decals Feature a Rare JGSDF Emblem and a Soviet Ace Marking

War Thunder's monthly decal rotation for August brings two collectible markings to the game, available from August 10th at 11:00 GMT through September 10th at 09:00 GMT. Both are unlocked by completing specific in-game tasks with rank III or higher vehicles.

What changed

• Fuji Training Brigade, 4th Company Emblem "Kabuki Kūgā" (Japan) — the emblem of the 4th Company, JGSDF, depicting a cougar with red Kabuki-style facial markings that form the numeral four. The company was established March 26th 1988 following the disbandment of an Armored Transport Unit, and was equipped with the Type 96 Wheeled APC nicknamed "Cougar." The marking was historically positioned on the rear hull sides of the company's vehicles. Unlocked by defeating 40 players using Japanese Light Tanks.
• Personal Marking of Vladimir Astakhov, 120th IAP (USSR) — the personal marking of Major Vladimir Astakhov of the 120th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, Soviet Air Force. Unlocked by finishing in position 1–3 three times using Soviet Aircraft.

The post also acknowledges a community survey conducted the previous month, noting that responses have been collated and will inform future plans.

For players pursuing either nation's cosmetic roster, the one-month window is the only stated opportunity to earn these markings.
