Corsair Cove Patch 1.1.1 Fixes Stuck Tutorial Hints and Event Flow
A targeted first patch addresses tutorial progression blocks that could leave players stranded in the opening hours.
Budd_LE and the Corsair Cove team have shipped version 1.1.1, a small but focused patch aimed squarely at tutorial reliability — the kind of first-impression friction that shapes early reviews.
What changed
- Fixed a rare case where the tutorial could get stuck after closing the journey summary screen following the "Barbos Bay" event.
- Fixed the "Place your Pier here" hint occasionally getting stuck on screen.
- Fixed an issue where, after returning from Barbos Bay and closing the journey summary mini overview, the objective would not advance unless the Pier was selected again.
- Removed all community events except immigration events while the tutorial is active.
- Added a save guard system that automatically clears stuck hints during normal progression and when loading a save.
A note on the save guard: Players who load an existing save may still briefly see the "Place your Pier here" hint. The new system will remove it automatically once the next objective is reached — no manual intervention required.
The patch is narrow in scope by design, and the team describes it as a first step informed by player feedback. For anyone who bounced off a frozen tutorial objective, the fix should make the opening sequence considerably smoother.
