HackHub 1.0 Arrives With Full Multiplayer and Player-Run Infrastructure

HackHub 1.0.0 is the first major release of the hacker simulator, and its headline addition is full multiplayer — a shared, persistent world where players can target each other and raid procedurally generated NPC companies.

What changed

Multiplayer core

• A live shared network with procedurally generated company sites and NPC targets
• A rebuilt connection flow and a proper notice screen when a player is kicked
• Ten new MP-only commands: openvpn, authkey, decode, appraise, crack, clearlogs, pivot, market, launder, and watch
• Four new MP-only apps: NetworkMonitor, Siege, Firewall, and Chat — all hidden in singleplayer
• Looted keys and decoders drop as real files, decryptable and reconciled with inventory on use
• Gated hack stages and a watch sweep that surfaces NPC observer aliases
• MP-specific banking and mail flows, including money laundering via the launder command
• Singleplayer saves are isolated from multiplayer sessions; the menu warns players of this explicitly

Player-run infrastructure

• Two hosting providers — DigitalSea and ArizonaWebServices — with working dashboards for spinning up VPS and cloud servers
• Two domain registrars — Namecheep and GoDiddy — for domain registration and DNS management
• Cloudfire, a Cloudflare-style CDN that can mask a site's origin IP on paid tiers
• Attackers can attempt to uncover hidden origins using dnshistory, whois, dig, and probe, with leaks surfacing on shadowlist.onion

Singleplayer additions

• A pile of new apps, commands, and sites, alongside procedurally generated business sites spanning roughly 24 industries
