NTE: Neverness to Everness Adds Auction Mini-Game 'Going, Going, Gone!'
A time-limited auction event introduces its own currency, bidding tiers, and collectible rewards — adding a speculative economic layer to the game through August 19.
A new limited-time mini-game has arrived in NTE: Neverness to Everness: Going, Going, Gone!, a Treasure Ship Auction running from July 29 (post-update) through August 19 at 05:59 UTC+8.
What changed
- A dedicated auction currency — Gold Shells — powers all bidding activity.
- Players choose an Auction Assistant and Device Set before entering; both provide appraisal intel during play.
- Three auction tiers exist, each with distinct lots and entry requirements.
- Each auction runs up to 5 rounds of estimation-based bidding against other players.
- Early-exit thresholds reward decisive overbidding: winning outright in Round 1 requires bidding more than 2× the second-highest bid, scaling down to 1.1× by Round 4; Round 5 is a straight highest-bidder-wins resolution.
- A Round 6 tiebreaker applies only to tied Round 5 players; a second tie ends the auction with no sale.
- If the winner finishes settlement at a net loss, each of the three other players receives a bonus equal to 10% of that loss.
- Won collectibles enter a personal Collection and can be sold or displayed; displayed pieces generate income over time.
Rewards
Completing event quests and filling the Item Index unlocks the "Highest Bidder Wins" title, the "Choice" avatar frame, the "Deal!" namecard, and the currencies Annulith and Fons, among other items.
For players who engage seriously with appraisal strategy and assistant selection, the event offers both cosmetic prestige and an ongoing passive income stream through displayed collectibles.
