Predecessor Hotfix v1.16.1 Trims Balance Outliers, Fixes Satariel Interactions
A targeted patch addresses over-performing heroes, items, and Eternals blessings while resolving a cluster of Satariel-related ability bugs.
Published 14 August 2026, Hotfix v1.16.1 for Predecessor arrives as a focused balance and bug-fix pass rather than a broad content update. Author Steggs frames it as a response to reported outliers and the most-submitted bug reports.
What changed
Eternals balance
- Weald's Major Blessing: missiles scale faster (threshold down from 30% to 25% Bonus Attack Speed), but the On-Hit Modifier drops sharply from 50% to 30%; a tooltip that incorrectly displayed 100% is also corrected.
- Satariel's Major Blessing: Health Reduction tightened upward from 5% to 6%.
Hero balance
- Greystone — Sacred Oath Bonus Health Scaling reduced from 5% to 4%.
- Rampage — Tiny Titan attack speed ceiling trimmed across all ranks.
- Scarlett — receives broad base-stat buffs (Health, Physical Armor, Health Regen, Physical Power Growth) plus ability improvements across Ashen Vow, First Intent, and Minueta, including lower energy costs and higher damage potential.
- Serath — Heaven's Fury On-Hit Modifier reduced from 40% to 35%.
- Shinbi — Line Tempo damage and Magical Power Scaling both reduced.
- Yin — Windburn Max Health Damage reduced at all ranks.
Item balance
- Cursed Scroll loses 5 Physical Armor (50 → 45).
- Overlord's cost rises from 2900 to 3000.
Bug fixes
- Three separate Satariel's Broken Wings interactions corrected: Serath could not trigger Heresy, Legion's Rally Point failed to grant ammo, and players could become immune to Narbash's Ultimate effects.
- Items no longer disappear from view after a disconnect.
For players, the patch's clearest story is Scarlett receiving meaningful across-the-board reinforcement while Shinbi, Yin, and Serath are pulled back — suggesting the meta is still being actively shaped heading into whatever follows v1.16.
